The Accounts department which previously was under the Administration Directorate
has now acquired the status of a directorate.
The Account Department which is as old as the hospital was being managed by the
Federal Ministry of Finance Abeokuta (also known as Federal Pay Office) before
approval was given for the hospital to be self accounting.
The department is currently headed by an Assistant Director (Finance).
It is responsible for:
Preparation and payment of staff salaries and pensions on monthly basis
Preparation of payment vouchers and payment of other expenses apart from salaries
Collection of revenue payable by patients and others and lodging same into the
hospital account.
Preparation of final account for the External Auditors,
Preparation of annual budgets and submission to the supervising Ministry
Preparation of routine reports, weekly and monthly for management.
Serves as the link between the Hospital and its Bankers
