STAFF EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT CENTRE

The Centre was established in 1981 to serve as a Continuing Education Centre for
members of staff of the Nursing division and members of other departments.
Updating the knowledge of members of staff on recent developments in
Functions
their professions without necessarily leaving their jobs.

Provides necessary assistance to students when conducting research and
case studies.
Enhancing the administrative skills of the nursing staff.

Weekly Teaching Forum
Seminars/Workshops
Conferences
Group discussions
Symposia.
Staffing
The SEDC has no permanent staff. Its activities are co-ordinated by the Chief Nursing
Officer in-charge of Education and two other Senior Nurses who are deployed to the
Unit as at when necessary
